Fundamental operational equations required for design of multi-stage compressor stations equipped with inter- and after-coolers are reviewed. Applications are demonstrated for optimal design of typical compressor stations. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the application of the theory and methodology for effective design of the compressor stations using the Mollier-type charts.
