LNG technology for stranded gas - jul. 2010 - 3 p. ; 12-14

Transcripción del resumen del autor. While much attention has recently focused on the design of floating LNG production (FLNG) vessels, MEO Australia has been working on a different approach for the development of stranded gas. Its scheme would involve the construction of an LNG plant on an offshore platform complex for its Tassie Shoal project. But ultimately, the widespread adoption of either approach depends on finding solutions for the safe transfer of LNG cargo in rough seas. A newly developed single point mooring scheme may provide a solution, but it will require new forms of cryogenic pipelines. Jeff Crook reports.
