Transcripción del abstract original del autor: New high-temperature lightweight furnace design offers potential energy savings, thus reducing emissions and costs, and improves product quality. Gasunie Research 12 m3 test furnace: ; 36% less heat needed to heat up the furnace ; first tests shown that 18% of flue gas heat loss saved through pulse/pause firing ; reduced carbon dioxide and gaseous hydrogen fluorides (HF) emissions ; improved temperature homogeneity in product batch enables higher throughput ; new dust-free combination of Refractory Ceramic Fibres (RCFs) have been tested successfully up to 1250 °C ; new high-temperature vitreous wool (RCFs) with high solubility in body fluids and hence no hazard classification has been successfully tested ; furnace control system developed and tested with good results, based on a standard industrial PLC, within stringent gas safety requirements.
