| 520 | _aThermal reservoir simulators are powerful tools to study cyclic steam Injection (CSI) wells; however, constant bottom hole flowing pressure is assumed as a constrain (sink cell) when simulating the reservoir. Considering the great reservoir inflow changes, then for selecting the artificial lift method the constant bottom hole pressure is not valid neither convenient assumption because the artificial lift performance changes as times goes on and in a different way for each method (Sucker Rod, Gas Lift, etc.).Therefore, to study properly CSI wells the artificial lift performance was coupled with Boberg & Lantz analytical model that allowed performing nodal analysis as the preheated zone is cooling down. Results show the artificial lift effects in the cooling time, the better the artificial performance the shorter the cooling period. In this way not only a better selection of the artificial lift was possible but also a better steam volume selection according to the artificial method can be performed. Two different reservoirs were analyzed considering horizontal and vertical wells, which gave four different artificial lift recommendations. | ||
