| 520 | _aThe Lower Member of the Agrio Fm (Pilmatué Member) extends from the upper Valanginian to the lower Hauterivian and represents one of the 4 source rocks recognized in the Neuquén Basin. Its deposits correspond to a marine ramp environment and extend over 40,000 km2, elongated in a north-south direction, within the Neuquén and southern Mendoza provinces. This interval has been regionally characterized by geochemical, petrophysical, geomechanical and geophysical analyses. Based on the regional studies, a 700 km2 "sweet spot" area is defined, which mainly involves the Filo Morado, Corralera Sur, Corralera Noroeste, Curamched, Curamhuele y Fondo de La Legua II blocks (Huantraico sincline). The southeast sector of the Filo Morado block is defined as a favorable area for the start of exploration, not only because of the reservoir characteristics, but also because of the background provided by previously drilled wells. As a result, two intervals (NGB: bottom sources level - NGS: top sources level) within the Pilmatué Member of the Agrio Fm. has been defined and evaluated as an unconventional reservoir through three wells, two vertical and one horizontal. The three wells were discoverers with oil production | ||
