| 520 | _aUnconventional reservoirs are constantly bringing new challenges to Geoscientists and Engineers for planning and proposing new horizontal wells to get maximum oil and gas recovery. Defining and mapping geological properties, normalize well production to a given time range, predict production with multi lineal regression techniques, and recommend optimum engineering parameters should be combined with state regulations and the influence of thousands of wells that have been drilled in the area for many years among other parameters. In this case study from the Permian Midland Basin, we are going to highlight potential areas to drill in the Wolfcamp Formation. We will analyze the best producing wells and their relationship with geological property maps combined with GIS buffering technology to account the influence of drainage areas, lateral distances, pipelines, leases regulations, and other avoidance hazards. | ||
