520 _aBarrancas field has a long production history (since 1952) with the beginning of secondary recovery in 1967. Detailed subsurface studies has concluded in a better geological understanding of the field, leading in an extension in the area of development to the western flank areas of the field. New wells has supplied 30% incremental on field production.Different results in production rates in some of the drilled wells contrast with its well logs responses, well tests and the physical properties. This has pushed to take new data to get a better understanding of the field behavior.Integration of the new data shows how the evolution of the different pulses of hydrocarbon in the field was controlled by the stratigraphic cyclicity and sedimentological barriers in a micro scale.Geoquemical data shows significant signatures differences related to the different rate of hydrocarbon evaporation in stratigraphic cycles. This was directly related to seal efficiency above and beneath the intervals. The main control in petrophysical properties is due to the paleoenvironmental settings and the diagenetic evolution. Diagenetic products were directly connected to the reduction on rock quality and consecuently in pay thickness. The study allows to see the impact in the data integration at different scales to quantify in a better and more accurate way how much and where the remaining oil is.
