520 _aRecent advances in the stratigraphic framework of the Vaca Muerta Quintuco System in the Neuquén Basin are mainly based in cross sections. Beyond the classic 2D framework, this contribution analyzes two cases of along strike variability in two different plan view break-clinoforms. Firstly, a case with parallel concave plan view geometry in the Southern Flank is presented. Despite the apparent simplicity of this geometry, important lateral variations of clinoforms thickness and distribution organic rich-facies with variable controls for different sequences are observed. Secondly, a case is presented in the Basin Center where an important rich organic interval (landing point) is controlled by a previous lowstand system tract with lobate convex plan view geometry. The results of this contribution suggest that it is necessary to advance in detailed stratigraphic schemes with a three-dimensional approach and the along-strike variability of the organic-rich facies must be considered for subsurface assessments.
