An application for Shushufindi field (Oriente basin, Ecuador) Shushufindi, is an over 40 yrs. old mature field with recently revamped production at rates of 75.000 bopd, located at the Oriente basin in Ecuador. It is being modeled both static and dinamically, to select different development scenarios as well as to support current development and near field exploration drilling. The existing 3D seismic data, acquired in two campaigns within 2001-3 has been reprocessed from raw field data through pre-stack time and depth migration routines for imaging, then, prestack seismic trace inversion to further obtain seismic cubes of both rock-types and petrophysical properties, as a basis for structure and stratigraphic guidance input in the static model. Since it is a data driven processing flow, the feasibility of the next step, depends upon the previous sequence results. The integrated seismic data processing and characterization workflow, allows not only for a reduction in the entire cycle turnaround, but also, the ability to improve key steps which would yield better end-results to input in the next one. This is particularly important for sparse and relatively low-fold and short long-offsets 3D seismic data, where S/N ratio is a conditioning factor to allow a quality implementation of each and every concatenated processing steps. Shushufindi’s nominal 24 fold dataset illustrates specific optimizations, or technological differentiators, which assured results for a quality interpretation that reflected in a robust static model. | ||
