Nanomagnetic fluid (ferromagnetic nanoparticles) has been evaluated as a corrosion inhibitor and the corrosion behavior of carbon steel in 1 M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) has been studied. The nanomagnetic luid was synthesized to achieve stability in acidic media when it is mixed with H2SO4. Inhibition followed a Langmuir adsoprtion isotherm.
