The company endeavour to master new techniques and methods used in the petroleum industry for the consolidation of the core exploration activities. Today, the exploration activity is characterised by the use of integrated techniques and the emergence of synergies in team projects, in order to produce more from what is conventional and to discover gas in unconventional complex traps. Undoubtedly, for a better comprehension of new play types, new technics and technologies have been developed. Hence, advances in new concepts of global geodynamics have allowed the rising of new view about sedimentary basins and consequently new gas and petroleum provinces. New techniques of basin modeling (Tectonic modeling, geochemistry and sedimentology) allowed the identification and the classification of oil and gas plays.
