520 _aTranscripción del abstract original del autor: The environmental protection is a noble objective to which any person having a minimum of good sense must subscribe. Unfortunately we are in front of a situation in which the population of our planet is divided into 2 categories: - The first one that is concerned by the future of the planet does not have average materials (or very few means) to preserve it except organizing demonstrations here and there from time to time. - The second one stronger and more powerful worries much more to preserve its material interests with the detriment of the environment. In my communication, I explain briefly the process of GL1/Z plant, with more details the 2 sections of decarbonation and dehydration in where the concern is localized. Then, I pose the problem of the monoethanolamine carry over towards the driers of dehydration and its rejection. The solutions are first consisting of product recovery towards the flash drum by the installation of 1'' recycling line. Second, to use the emergency ''on/off'' valve installed on the make-up line to add the needed water without excess. Finally it is recommended to lower the dryers' inlet temperature in order to recover more monoethanolamine and to reduce carried out quantity. These modifications are simple, don't need high studies and investment. At least, I hope that, through this paper I will contribute to reduce processing cost in our plant and also will help for better environment.
