520 _aTranscripción del abstract original del autor: Tokyo Gas lays as many as 100,000 service pipes every year, requiring major capital investment. Due to growing economic pressures and competition, construction costs must be reduced and limited corporate resources used more effectively. Tokyo Gas is therefore striving to minimize the cost of laying and maintaining service pipes and has developed the following three cost reduction technologies, and is conjunction with municipality apply these technologies: 1. No-dig technology for reducing road excavation 2. Keyhole technology for eliminating temporary reinstatement work 3. Asphalt recycling technology for recycling waste on site The use of these three technologies in combination has reduced not only costs but also environmental impact, and improved customer satisfaction.
