| 520 | _aTranscripción del abstract original del autor: In the borehole seismic techniques, the seismic wave travels are reduced; therefore, the VSP data usually have better signal-to-noise ratios at high frequencies than do seismic surface data. Its basic use is to determine interval velocities, identify and correlate major reflectors across well logs and surface seismic image. In this paper, we present an interpretation of zero and fixed offset VSP data recorded at a well located in the south of Algeria. The amplitude spectral ratio method was applied to a zero offset VSP data, to estimate the attenuation factor (Q), which is recognised as potentially important quantity in reservoir characterization. The angles computed from experimented offset VSP (hodogram) and synthetic offset VSP are used to calculate oblique velocity. Comparison between the oblique and vertical velocities derived from a sonic log and a zero offset VSP, gives information about the anisotropy (P wave velocity anisotropy). | ||
