520 _aReservoir studies traditionally developed by PDVSA have contemplated the execution of three phases: I, data base construction; II, reservoir characterization and III, numerical simulation culminating in a technically viable development plan. The approval process in PDVSA for the implementation of reservoir studies results includes two additional phases: IV, design of an optimum exploitation plan using financial evaluation tools and risk analysis and V, formulation of the operating plan of the selected exploitation scenario. This paper presents the methodology for integrating phases IV and V with the results obtained in the conventional phases of a reservoir study.
