In: v. 2, p. 340-341Summary: Resumen del autor, extraído del trabajo. Among the enhanced oil recovery methods water flood is the most widespread. Last fifty years the water flood scale is widely used in Russia, where 90 % of the whole country's oil production is provided by this method. The use of injection in Russia was accompanied by considerable worsening of the structure and quality of oil reserves involved in the field development. Active oil reserves in high permeable, rather homogenous reservoirs decreased almost twice, The oil reserves share in heterogeneous low permeable reservoirs, in particular with stratified heterogeneity, is considerably increased. Today, when the water flood technology is widespread, when they try to compensate the produced liquid volume by the proper water injection, the stratified heterogeneity of reservoirs (layers) unified into the one development object defines considerably current and final oil recovery of the field, as well as water cut. For increasing the water flood effectiveness it is necessary to spend a lot of money and make effort for performing well operations, aimed for the water cut limitation, smoothing of the inject water injectivity profile, intensification of production from the low permeable reservoirs (layers).
