This paper describes time lapse water saturation changes because of polymer injection. Grimbeek II polymer pilot is a heterogeneous multilayered fluvial reservoir saturated with viscous oil. Multilayer injection is a challenging condition not only for waterflooding but also for polymer flooding. This is exacerbated because of the water/oil mobility ratio. The workflow consisted on monitoring water saturation variations over time in four injection wells, with respect to the initial open hole and cased hole with oxygen carbon both prior to pilot execution and after two years of polymer injection -Grimbeek petrophysics provide optimum conditions for this type of logs-. Saturation logs after polymer injection showed greater uniformity indicating that vertical sweep efficiency has improved. Quantitative changes in saturation seems to indicate that polymer is 3 times more efficient that water injection
