Mesa Verde oil field has a combinate structure-stratigraphic tramp and overpressure reservoirs associated with both clastic and pyroclastic lithology, that belongs to a fluvial-delta-lake system cluster as Río Blanco formation. A three-dimensional static & dynamic model was accomplished to enhance the understanding of the field and to have an adequate tool in order to adapt the actual development plan. A regional tectonic model of the Cuyana rift Triassic basin, stratigraphic approaches, analogies with actives lakes from Africa, local structure, facies arrangements, depositional sub-environments, in addition to core descriptions, mud and well logs including resistivity imaging and magnetic resonance, were integrated in a conceptual geological model. The static model incorporates petrophysics evaluations and production data. Sedimentary facies described in cores were scaled and propagated by well logs using both upper and lower porosity cut-offs to re-define net-to-gross relationships that could explain differences in productivity by zones, by stratigraphic members and by depositional facies. The changes in the observed permeability were associated to the diagenesis, particularly the role of analcite. It was also considered rock types, relative permeabilities, pressures and flow rates adjustment by zones in a dynamic model that provide development scenarios and drilling recommendations.
