Online resources: In: Summary: This paper is about the calculation method used to estimate petrophysical and geomechanical properties based on the electrical logs which allow a simulation and optimization of stimulations in the Los Molles Formation in the Agua del Cajon Block. Different options also appear according to the available logs, since in most cases only basic log sets exist. These properties are: shale volume, effective porosity, gas permeability, Poisson ratio and dynamic and static Young moduli. The joint work between the operator of the area and the service company in charge of stimulations allowed the unification of criteria and the adjustment of calculation values, thus improving the hydraulic fractures design in order that the behavior of the stimulation to be carried out be as adjusted to the design as possible.
