Well-completion decisions requiere fast, objective and reliable log interpretation. A new, nearly automatic method for processing data from modern spectroscopy and conventional logging tools gives operators that information quickly. An extensive analysis of the relationship between rock properties and elemental concentrations in core samples provided a reliable basis for this new service.
