This article covers a performance test of various backfills available to the industry. The performance of the tested backfills ranged from unacceptable to excellent. To reduce power cost and premature failure, selection of the anode backfill is critical to prevent unneeded expense. Part 1 (April 2010 MP) described the test setup. Part 2 presents the test results, conclusion, and recommendations.
