Application of H-NMR for FCC feed characterization

By: Description: 22 pOnline resources: In: Summary: Transcripción del resumen del autor. In this paper we discuss application of 1H-NMR for FCC feed characterization. A set of forty two FCC feeds from the Grace Davison Feed Database, representing a range of oAPIs from 13.9 to 32.4, was fully characterized by measuring bulk physical properties, distillation curve, Conradson carbon residue, refractive index, and metal content (V, Ni, Fe, Na, and others). All these feeds were also characterized by 1H-NMR, SARA, and UV-VIS techniques. In addition, ACE testing was conducted on all of these feeds using two typical FCC catalysts. Using statistical tests, applicability of 1H-NMR feed characterization to predict feed bulk physical properties and ACE yields was examined. Results were compared against correlations published in literature.
