    <subfield code="a">This contribution analyzes the morphological structures of the seabed related to hydrocarbon escape. The study area is in the southern part of the Colorado Basin, between 38&#xB0; and 41&#xB0; south latitude. This work covers only the outer shelf from 80 m deep to the limit with the continental slope. To carry out this study, bathymetric data were used. The data were obtained with multibeam bathymetricechosounder (EM-1002). Whose resolution is 2&#xB0; x 2&#xB0;. This probe is designed to work in shallow and medium depths (2 m and 700 m) with a sweep width of up to 150 and a working frequency of 95 kHz. Very high-resolution seismic profiles obtained with the TOPAS parametric probe were used. The data set was acquired during the MIXTO campaign in March 2016. For the construction of the derived models software SAGA (System for Automated Geoscientific Analyzes) was used. For the seismic interpretation, the Petrel software was used. The analysis of the bathymetry, allowed us to recognize and measure the different seabed structures. Among them mounds, pockmarks and mud volcanoes were identified. Very high resolution seismic profiles made it possible to measure the amplitude, frequency and continuity of the seismic reflectors. The combined use of digital elevation models and very high-resolution seismic profiles allow: a quantitative description (width, slope, length, etc.) and a plan description (shape, area, perimeter, symmetry, etc.). This information contributes to broadening the knowledge of the Argentine continental shelf seabed. Also, it demonstrates the usefulness of knowing the background morphological structures for hydrocarbon prospecting.</subfield>
