CUENCA DEL COLORADO, ARGENTINA U1 - 068.82 553.28 C62 15730 N2 - It has been shown that the use of multiple seismic attributes enhances the rapid identification of anomalies and speeds up seismic interpretation, highlighting structural and/or stratigraphic features. The additive method RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is the most widely used, especially for spectral decomposition, which combines the primary colors. On the other hand, the subtractive method CMY (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow), that merges the opposites of the primary colors, cyan opposite to red, magenta to green, and yellow to blue respectively, is mainly used to highlight structural features by blending seismic structural attributes based on seismic amplitude, phase, and frequency. The resulting cube is essentially lighter, while the structural discontinuities and/ or faults are observed darker, in shades of gray and black and, consequently, their interpretation is more intuitive and agile for the interpreter.
