    <subfield code="a">The offshore Hidra oil field is located in the Norwest portion of CMA-1 concession, Austral Basin, 13 km east of the coast of Tierra del Fuego, with water depths that span from 20 to 40 meters. It was discovered in 1982 and production began in 1989, with a cumulative oil production of 10,9 MMm3 (Jun-2022). The reservoir is composed of fluvial sandstone deposits of the Springhill Formation, Hidra Sequence (Berriasian-Valanginian). The Hidra sequence is also subdivided into four sequences of higher frequency, whose setting reflects the tectonostratigraphic evolution prevailing in the zone of study. Since water injection was envisaged for pressure support very early in the development, the determination and quantification of the heterogeneities remains a key factor for the management of this mature field. The presence of heterogeneities is attributed to, on one hand, the inherited characteristics of the depositional environment of each sequence, and on the other, to the presence of faults that act as lateral dynamic barriers with variable transmissibility. With the aim of identifying the level of connectivity present in each reservoir interval, it was necessary to build a depositional model of Hidra sequence. This model proposes the evolution of a fluvial system from alluvial fans and braided channel belts, to meandering fluvial belts, and finally floodplain and lacustrine deposits. The characteristics of each depositional environment as well as the level of channel amalgamation in each sequence represent a first order control in the connectivity of the reservoir. From a structural point of view, interpreted faults in the field show a complex evolution. The main faulting has a northwest-southeast orientation. Nevertheless, secondary faults could act as transmissibility barriers. Additionally, evidence of transpression, interpreted as a result of Tertiary compression, has been found along fold axes. The identification of sedimentary and structural heterogeneities was completed with historical data coming from salinity measurements of produced water, static gradient definition campaign, and chemical tracers. The multidisciplinary integration of this information obtained both from the surface and the subsurface, allowed us not only to perform a quantification of the heterogeneities present in the field, but also to challenge concepts that were generated at the beginning of the development.</subfield>
