<subfield code="a">Methodologies to extrapolate production in dynamic modeling depend both on the reservoir conditions, as well as on the production in which the field is e stimated to operate. In general, in the projections of base scenarios, under primary production of a single-phase expansion drainage mechanism, it is usual to extrapolate to constant BHP, observing the evolution of the depletion of the original pressure and the production associated with it. On the contrary, if you are dealing with production under water injection, the extrapolation of production to liquid and constant injection is frequently used and the evolution of the water cut and the rhythm of the recovery factor and the accumulated production are obtained as a result. In the cases of scenarios where future conditions are to be changed to seek different optimizations, in the simulation tool, the actions must be reflected in these projections; in the definition of the control variabl es and in the change of these in the time in which they are planned to be exe cuted. In the case study being analyzed, due to the fact that injection is heterogeneous throughout the field, with areas still under primary production, due to lack of conversions, adjacent to areas under water injection, with different injection rates, generally due to below what was required, extrapolating the production of more than 300 wells with different dates of implementation of conversions and optimal injection flow rates, required an exhaustive and challenging analysis, difficult to capture in the simulation tool given the different prevail ing production mechanisms. It is the objective of this work to show the inconveniences found in the process, as well as the resolutions and methodology adopted.</subfield>
