TY - DATA AU - Arijón,Manuel Emiliano AU - Fernández,Santiago Eduardo ED - Congreso de Exploración y Desarrollo de Hidrocarburos (11er : 2022 nov. 8 - 11 : Mendoza) TI - DESARROLLO Y REJUVENECIMIENTO DE UN CAMPO MADURO A PARTIR DE LA OPTIMIZACIÓN EN LA PRODUCCIÓN SIMULTÁNEA DE LAS FOMACIONES POZO D-129, MINA DEL CARMEN Y COMODORO RIVADAVIA, YACIMIENTO VALLE HERMOSO, CUENCA DEL GOLFO SAN JORGE, ARGENTINA U1 - 068.82 553.28 C62 15730 N2 - Valle Hermoso Centro block, located in Cerro Dragón Field, Golfo San Jorge Basin has been active since 1967, and with more than 50 years of continuous development (272 wells, 172 currently active producer wells, Ng: 5910 MMm3, Np: 5275 Mm3) keep showing production potential from new wells drilled and workovers. The first, on a large scale, drilling campaign (55 wells) was performed between the years 2000 and 2007, where the gas production increased from Ng: 373 MMm3 to 1850 MMm3. The second massive drilling campaign began in the year 2017 (more than 60 wells drilled) which it is ongoing and achieved that the field has reached a Ng: 5910 MMm3 and maintain an average daily production of 1350 Mm3/d during the last 2 years, being these values the historical maximums of the block. Initial production exceeding 200 m3/d of oil is recorded in high Gas/Oil ratio wells that produce from Mina del Carmen Fm.; and more than 250 Mm3/d gas in wells producing from Mina del Carmen Fm. and lacustrine platform facies of Pozo D-129 Fm. This work synthesises more than 50 years of development and emphasises how new ideas, methods of analysis, technological innovations and continuous investment allow to convert a brownfield into a highly active one. Also reflects the technical complexity associated with simultaneously producing gas and oil from 3 different targets. Since 2000, high gas production results have been obtained from altered reservoirs of the Pozo D-129 Fm. (secondary porosity related to diagenetic alteration of tuffaceous sandstones) which have the technical challenge of producing gas with values around 50% CO2. In the last years, Mina del Carmen Fm. has shown that its lower section is represented by a succession of poorly amalgamated and highly productive fluvial channels, mainly composed of tuffaceous sandstones. Using sequential stratigraphic concepts for continental environments, its fluvial architecture was predicted, and the development of these levels was optimized. Finally, Comodoro Rivadavia Fm. represents a great challenge for the near future since waterflooding has not yet been implemented.
