<subfield code="a">This work aims to show the evolution of the studies that led to the development plans of the Mb. La Tosca reservoirs (Fm Huitrín) in the Cañadón Amarillo areaArea, Mendoza province. In Atthe beginning, the project included a workover campaign as well as the drilling of development and advanced wells to delineate the extension of the mineralized area. As it progressed, it became evident the need to have new data to improve the conceptual model of the carbonates of Mb. La Tosca. The information available up to that time supported the hypothesis of a naturally fractured reservoir. The data acquisition plan included obtaining cores, well images, Build Up tests, samples for geochemical characterization studies and production allocation. The dissimilar results in the productivity of the wells, and the different production profiles, led to the need to revise and refine the reservoir model. The available seismic data was reinterpreted to adjust the structural framework that, together with the well image information, allowed the generation of a Natural Fracture Model (DFN, Discrete Fracture Network). A sectoral dynamic simulation was carried out, which showed that the DFN model alone could not explain the behavior of the wells evaluated. It was then sought, on the one hand, to refine the structural model by reinterpreting the seismic data and the integration of images and core samples, and on the other hand to improve the existing stratigraphic model by means of the detailed description of the core samples and thin sections available, the chemostratigraphic evaluation of cutting samples and cores and the generation of electrofacies from clusters. The information integration allowed to identify a remarkable heterogeneity of the reservoir that was evidenced by the spatial distribution of the different electric and chemostratigraphic facies. At the same time, different areas with differentiated structural styles linked to dissimilar production behaviors were recognized. The optimal development strategies are being adapted to the characteristics of the recognized areas, although for the case of development through horizontal wells it is necessary to have more data to validate the existing DFN.</subfield>
