It was not until the end of 2013 that an intensive development was carried out drilling 109 vertical wells until June 2016. Towards the end of 2016 horizontal wells began being drilled as a part of a pilot study.North of the block petrophysical properties are of poorer quality than the rest of the area showing defined Tight Gas ranges. On this sector, vertical drilled wells showed worse performance than expected with low recovery factors. These results were the starting point for analyzing infill wells drilling. However, because of the low economic expectations of vertical wells, the alternative was planned with horizontal infill wells.The multidisciplinary approach to the analysis here presented answers many questions independently, but together allows to define the development strategy to continue exploiting the field.By the means of petrophysical properties, recovery factor (current vertical wells vs current vertical wells + future horizontal wells), drainage radii and simulated remnant pressures maps, it is shown that there is no expectation of significant interference between wells when producing future horizontal wells.In addition, based on RTA (Rate Transient Analysis) of existing vertical wells and microseismic estimated limits, production forecasts are generated for the horizontal wells.Finally, it is proven that horizontal wells have the best economical results when compared with the vertical wells of the same zone.As a result of this analysis, the infill project continues with horizontal wells drilling in the RDM field UR - https://biblioteca.iapg.org.ar/ArchivosAdjuntos/Conexplor2018/SDH/1674.pdf ER -
