The field, productive from Sierras Blancas formation, in the Neuquén Basin, is operated by Petrolera Entre Lomas S.A. (PELSA). It was a challenge to describe a static model that particularly represents the permeability heterogeneity generated by the dunes of Sierras Blancas formation Due to the low permeability, few hard core data were available, and a deconvolution procedure of Stoneley permeability logs should be used jointly with the field primary dynamic data in a high resolution numerical simulation. The model facies were defined with SP and ILD logs and the porosity with density and NMR logs. Neural networks and cores/plugs data were also used. The grid model was built by 20x20x1m cells. The distribution of the properties was made by geostatistical procedures co-simulated with density and SP seismic cubes. The tNavigator software was used to get the dynamic model of two hydraulic units and nine rock regions with different SCAL properties. The last ones were obtained by hundreds of simulation runs using the split and merge simulator tool. The well hydraulic fractures were explicitly simulated. Three development and exploitation scenarios were simulated of primary and waterflooding recovery, including horizontal wells. Finally, we could identify the sweet spots of this low permeability and high water saturation field, defining also the best way to produce it UR - https://biblioteca.iapg.org.ar/ArchivosAdjuntos/CONEXPLOR2014/397-Identificacionyexplotacion.pdf ER -
