Cathodic interference is a common problem caused by the effect of stray current on one structure from the cathodic protection (CP) system on another structure. Although this phenomenon is nearly always associated with impresed current CP, it can occur with galvanic anode CP systems. This article desccribes a case study of a situation where galvanic CP caused cathodic interference in an unusual way ER -
