N2  - Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The research of the city gas load is very important for development of natural gas industry in China in the new century. This paper does some works on the regularities study and forecasting of the city gas load, and analyzes the monthly, daily, and the hourly gas consumption modes as well. As a mater of course, the long-term trend and the short-term trend of gas load can be got. Applying the theory of time series analysis and taking the characteristics of city gas load into account, the role of city gas load in engineering practice application can act properly. The research system of city gas load based on study of the regularities of city gas load is outlined. This paper puts forward the forecasting characteristic curves of the city gas load, develops forecasting models of medium term, short term and long term of city gas load with theory of time series analysis, random processes and Grey system theory. A multi-step forecasting of hourly load of next day has been carried out and verified with the practical data
