N2  - Transcripción del abstract original del autor: Considering the lack of Underground Gas Storages in Iran, the whole gas supply system, including gas treating plants, pipelines and compressor stations, has been designed to meet the peak demand which happens in the cold season. By means of the gas supply figures and the CAPEX plus OPEX within a four-year period from 1996 until 1999, it will be shown how economical, flexible and risk-free gas supply would be if there were Underground Gas Storages, (UGS). Likewise, the amount of savings will be figured out statistically
