This is the case that electro-chemical theory is applied to industry field. Measurement and evaluation of the potential are effective inspection method which could find out the possibility of corrosion for steel pipe under cathodic protection. The management of metal to soil potential is a series of activities which are measurement, recording, and inspection whether the potential was located in safe zone or not. But, this methods and procedure have difficult in continuous monitoring and have troublesome to field worker. In this study, thanks to the development of wireless communication, on-line metal to soil potential monitoring system was developed, which is transmit the collected pipe to soil potential through wireless communication network at field. New developed system measures the potential difference between pipe and reference electrode. Central processing unit(CPU) calculates the values of average, maximum, minimum and standard deviation using the measured data. Calculated values were transmitted to manager’s computer every day through wireless communication network. Received data were stored and analyzed at exclusive program at manager’s computer ER -
