However, it is usually accompanied with corrosion problem of heat exchanger caused by strong acid condensate. In this study, the heat transfer experiments of natural gas (13A) fired water heater has been performed using enhanced titanium tubes, which has excellent corrosion resistance as secondary heat exchanger for latent heat recovery. The parametric studies were conducted for mass flow rate and outlet temperature of hot water, respectively. Tube arrangements of heat exchanger including inline and staggered configurations were investigated. The thermal efficiency was evaluated based on the net calorific value at maximum rated output. As a result, the thermal efficiency of gas fired water heater with latent heat recovery heat exchanger was about 10% higher than that of the conventional instantaneous water heater ER -
