<subfield code="a">Transcripción del abstract original del autor: At the final stage of gas reserves withdrawal there comes a stage when in the pool mostly lowpressure gas (under pressure below 5 MPa) remains. With the elastic water drive development, water intrusion into the gas pool results in trapping of a significant part of natural gas reserves. Recovery of low-pressure and trapped gas reserves from watered gas pools is a complicated scientifictechnological problem and requires significant additional investments for development and application of new technologies for their recovery and use. A significant part of these reserves can be ascribed to the difficult-to-recover category and accounts for 15 to 40% of initial reserves. This paper describes the mathematical simulation of the process of displacement of the trapped gas with nitrogen, injected below the gas-water contact level. In terms of physics, the nitrogen injection technology is based the creation of more favorable, as related to depletion drive, reservoir hydrodynamic and thermobaric conditions. These conditions enhance gas recovery thanks to displacing both trapped and free lowpressure gas. A part of gas reserves is also recovered under a higher formation pressure, the rate of further holes drowning is retarded and the period of the gas-producing enterprise viability is extended.</subfield>
