N2  - Transcripción del resumen original del autor: The report of IGU Working Committee 2 “Underground storage“ for the 22nd World Gas Conference in Tokyo is a review of the progress achieved on these topics in the three years since the 21st World Gas Conference in Nice in 2000. In line with its designation, Working Committee 2 divided the report into three major fields of topics: ; Basic activities in the underground storage industry worldwide; ; Competitive storage in the future; ; Life cycle of underground storages. This report compiles and evaluates information on new techniques developed in the period between 1999 and 2002 in countries contributing to the work of the Committee. Further, Working Committee 2 developed three technology forums for the 22nd World Gas Conference on the following subjects: ; Potential for cost reduction;Environmental protection and safety in the underground storage industry; Geological CO2 sequestration
