    <subfield code="a">Geostatistical Inversion for the development of conventional and tigh oil reservoir in Aguada del Chivato oil field, Neuquina basin, Argentina.With aim on optimizing the development of Aguada del Chivato field, a work program was carried out including seismic reprocessing, pre-feasibility analysis and the generation of deterministic and stochastic inversions. The study was focused on the Mulichinco Formation, our main reservoir, which presents a complex lithologies combination (carbonates, sands and clays) and variable petrophysical properties (conventional and tight).Reprocessing was done from field register, through a PSTM migration and finally including a prestack migration in depth. Special emphasis was placed on improving the signal-to-noise ratio, preserving relative amplitudes, static corrections and velocity model. In the latter case, a reflection tomography was used, including the use of VTI anisotropy parameters. PSTM and PSDM were used for generation of deterministic trace inversions in cubes of partial angles and total sum, obtaining as a product volumes impedances of P and S waves. To know the impact of each stage in the inversion process, different procedures and parameters were tested obtaining different wavelets and low frequency models, evaluating the impact of each one on the final result. The impedances obtained showed high correlations with those registered at the wells, but still below the resolution required for reservoir characterization. In order to overcome the lack of vertical resolution, a stochastic inversion (simulation) and the cosimulation of petrophysical properties were carried out.The scope and limitations for each type of inversion are presented, with a work flow recommended for the study of units like Mulichinco Fm. Finally, a static model with the spatial distribution of lithofacies and petrofacies was obtained, with resolutions of 300-400Hz, which presents high correlation with the wells excluded during the stochastic inversion process and which were used as quality control.</subfield>
