The fluvial deposits of the Comodoro Rivadavia and Yacimiento El Trébol formations of the Golfo San Jorge basin contain the classic, productive, reservoir rocks in the Cerro Dragón field. These are analyzed in detail for the static model building and analytic reservoir simulation on which waterflooding projects are based. Within this framework, the consolidation of the integrated static model of La Madreselva, Zorro III and La Madreselva Sur fields was carried out, combining 335 wells and seismic data in an area of 70 km2. A total of 101 separated hydraulic units with permeable thicknesses between 0.5 m and 8 m were identified. For the definition and mapping of each one, variograms were used in order to estimate the main direction of data trend, which is interpreted as dominant for each channeled body. The objective of this contribution is to integrate the information obtained from the variograms of the interpreted reservoirs, with the kinematic analysis of the main faults in the area in order to: a) define the structural model present in the study area; b) structurally frame the sedimentary development of the channeled facies and c) determine the influence of the structure on the orientation of the fluvial system, demonstrating its temporal relationship.
