Online resources: In: Summary: Argentine sedimentary basins present diverse examples of conventional and unconventional reservoirs, which are originated in a variety of paleosedimentary environments. The aim is to show the record of different sedimentary paleoenvironments from cores, and its condition as a reservoir rock. The lithologies, sedimentary structures, facies and diagnostic facies associations of each sedimentary environment are showcased together with their petrographic and mineralogical characteristics. All these properties are linked with petrophysical data to characterize the reservoir quality. This article accompanies the exhibition and synthetically documents each reservoir at different scales, from the sedimentologic log with its paleoenvironmental interpretation up to a microscopic scale with photographs taken under petrographic and electronic microscopes, to visualize the poral system in detail. To that end, more than 350 meters of cores from the hydrocarbonproducing sedimentary basins in Argentina, were analyzed to characterize each reservoir. The analyzed material was provided by CGC S.A, Pluspetrol S.A. and YPF S.A., and from all of them, 5 meters of each sedimentary environment were selected to the exhibition within the framework of the XI CONEXPLO. The showcased cores belong to conventional clastic, carbonate, volcaniclastic and tight sands reservoirs from the following geological units: Lajas, Centenario, and Huitrín (La Tosca and Troncoso Member) Formations and Neuquén Group of the Neuquén Basin, Springhill and Magallanes Formations of the Austral Basin (onshore and offshore) and Bajo Barreal and Mina del Carmen Formations of the Golfo San Jorge Basin
