Online resources: In: Summary: The Roblote Exploratory area is located west of the Maturín Sub-basin, northwest of the prolific gas Anaco District (Anzoátegui State), as part of the Eastern Basin of Venezuela. In this area drilling campaigns were carried out in the 1940s and 1950s, where significant accumulations of associated gas with high gas / oil ratio were evidenced. The efforts of PDVSA Exploración were renewed in 2004, with the acquisition of 1150 km2 of a 3D seismic cube in the area, with the objective of visualize and define new exploratory opportunities. The main objective is the characterization of marine marginal and delta plain deposits in depositional systems, based on the estimation of the physical properties of the reservoir rock (well logs, cores and channel samples) and the determination of the morphology and dimensions of the sedimentary bodies, considering the thickness of the sandstones and quality of rocks, to conclude with the calculations of reserves. This methodology was used in the interpretation of the well R-4 which discovered two hydrocarbon deposits, one in the Merecure Formation and other in the Oficina Formation, Member Colorado. Analysis was focused in this one because it has shown the best results). The evaluation by means of the DST-TCP tests to the coated hole, the determination of the sedimentary bodies (sedimentary rock) with the sedimentological interpretation, allowed to incorporate primary reserves, in the order of 115 MMMPCN of gas and 1.15 MMBN of oil.
