Due to the different petroleum systems present in Neuquén Basin, development plans in Lindero Atravesado field has been changing across time. From traditional oil and gas reservoirs in Quintuco, Sierras Blancas and Lotena formations, to exploratory wells in Vaca Muerta shale, to tight gas development in Grupo Cuyo, this field’s life has been dynamic.Seismic was part of these changes. Although 2D seismic was enough to locate the first wells, the structural complexity of the area made necessary a 3D seismic acquisition. Nevertheless, seismic surveys are designed to optimize imaging at certain depth in the subsurface, but if the target changes, 3D seismic data already acquired could be far from optimal to properly characterize the new reservoirs under study. In this paper the workflow followed from the design, acquisition and processing of a new 3D seismic focused in deep reservoirs in Grupo Cuyo is shown. This information is being used for the reservoir characterization.
