As we continue deeper into a century that will be driven by more and more natural gas, Australia will undoubtedly be a key contributor. While other countries have focused their efforts on the diversification of energy resources, Australia has been positioning itself to emerge as a leading player in the global LNG market by the end of this decade. This would enable the already well-established Asia-Pacific LNG supplier to gain a firmer foothold in the global energy scene. However, a number of key challenges need to be addressed in order to materialise Australia’s potential.
