A possible congressional scandal is looming, the war continues in Iraq, and, by the way, it's an election year. On the surface, it doesn't seem that the outlook is favorable for 2006 to be a year of substantial legislative achievement in Washington. but natural gas utilities are hopeful that high residential gas prices will generate the political pressure needed to produce action on at least part of the industry's agenda.
