Corrosion behavior of pressure vessel steel exposed to residual bubbles after cavitation bubble collapse

The surfaces of the corrosion specimens were also investigated using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was shown that the residual bubbles shift the potential of a Pt electrode to a more anodic potential and that the oxide layer induced by the residual bubbles is different from that produced by normal water without residual bubbles.
