Transcripción del abstract original del autor: Gas is of growing significance for the Exploration & Production activity. Its markets are growing, not only its prime market as a fuel (gas pipe, LNG ), but also the markets of gas as a feedstock for chemical conversions (fertilisers, methanol, GTL ). These alternative markets represent additional opportunities to develop gas resources, but also different type of challenges, either technical, commercial or economical . The situation is even more complex since existing gas conversion technologies are constantly being improved and new types of processes are being studied and/or developed. The purpose of this paper is to briefly discuss to which extent these technologies represent additional opportunities to valorise gas resources.
