Transcripción del abstract original del autor: Clean and economical, the NGV (Natural Gas Vehicles ) is an alternative fuel to the traditional fuels, it belongs to a different drawing plate from its competitors. Directly usable, the NGV is characterized by its intrinsic qualities. Aware of the necessity to preserve continuously and in a better way our natural patrimony and more particularly the quality of the air, the NGV is now days a solution which imposes itself. Currently, more than 1.7 million of vehicles are running in the world with a use geographically diversified. The stakes are extremely important and the specialists consider that the conditions begin to be gathered in such a way the Natural gas Vehicles will become on the horizon 2005- 2010 an alternative perfectly credible in the alternative fuels. The NGV development in the public transport sector and the urban commercial vehicles and the extension of the drawing plate to the captive floats of light vehicles and then to the particulars users, the launching of NGV vehicles on the market, the establishment of a distribution network and finally a simple and attractive tariffing are the main purposes which should be reached by this drawing plate. The countries of the Maghreb, in particular Algeria which is rich in gas, have shown their interest in the use of NGV in the transport sector, some of them are thinking of the ambitious development programs. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the current situation of NGV in these countries, the development perspectives of this alternative fuel and the different factors (technical, financial and statutory ) which could brake or accelerate the progress of this technique and at last the environmental impact concerning the polluting emissions due to the adoption of an NGV strategy.
