A method to assess the environmental impact of urban energy systems

As for the effectiveness of environmental protection efforts conducted by Osaka Gas through its business activities, we have assessed the performance of CO2 emissions reduction using the LCA method. As a result, we have found the following facts: non-excavation technique reduces CO2 emissions by about 50%; a comprehensive road waste recycling system could cut approximately 33% of CO2 emissions; gas equipment recovery and recycling activities conducted by Osaka Gas reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 64%.
