Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The present paper summarizes long-term work of VNIIGAZ experts aimed at applying the date on consentration of carbon isotopes in natural gases and oxygen and hydrogen isotopes of natural waters in areas of OAO GAZPROM facilities allocation connected with production, processing and underground storage of natural gas. The authors come to the conclusion that isotope monitoring in the region of created and operating UGS, shall include the following positions: 1. Assessment of suitability of the selected structure for UGS allocation combined with compulsory analysis of isotope data obtained in the process of assessment. 2. Determining the characteristic features of isotope composition of sole, residual and condensation waters and also underground and surface environment. 3. Certification based on isotope break-down of gas delivered to the underground storage. 4. Certification of industrial and communal drainage, formed in the region of UGS location. 5. Creating electronic version of data base for storing isotope-geochemical monitoring results in the region of UGS location and issuing recommendation aimed at elimination of negative impact of UGS over surface and subsurface environment. By now VNIIGAZ has fulfilled the first stage of isotope-geochemical monitoring in the regions of Stavropol and Kasimov UGS and Astrakhan gas condensate field.
