Transcripción del abstract original del autor: The aim of the paper is to describe the main characteristics and the principles of the emergency procedures, developed in SNAM RETE GAS, addressed to face up with undesired scenarios related to safety, environmental and supply aspects. The connection elements existing between these procedures and the safety and environmental management systems, implemented in the Company, are focused as well. These emergency procedures constitute the Company emergency response plans where the responsibilities, availability of trained personnel and necessary resources are established and reviewed. Their improvement is assured by a continuos monitoring of technology development and by the lessons learned by the experience achieved in the daily management of the transport network.
